Frustrated. E Brake Cable
how do you remove this damned cable from the cab? I've tried everything that i've seen in threads, but nothing is working. is there an easy way to remove it, or can someone just explain it to me like I am 5? thank you

It can be a pain. There are some spring steel fingers that expand after the cable is pushed through the firewall. I usually start with putting pressure on the cable and pushing each finger in and tilting the cable a bit so it stays outside the hole. Repeat on the remaining ones and it should come out. It is sometimes better if someone holds pressure on it and someone pushes in the clips.

Open a small hose clamp up, slide it around the tangs, screw the clamp back together enough to compress the tangs and it will slide right out.
