BFGs throwing rocks!

I'm running 33 x 12.50 BFGs on my truck, and needless to say they throw rocks like a mo-fo! My driveway is gravel, probably 1000 feet. Once I turn onto the highway it almost brings tears to my eyes.. the pain.. the misery.. Every rock comes out by 60 MPH but my paint is getting trashed.

Does anyone recommend any mud flaps or rock guards? I don't want that clear film stuff. Don't wanna make my own either. I can understand a little trimming but don't want much work to make them work. Plastic or metal is fine with me.

I've looked around EVERYWHERE! How can someone custom make and sell speaker brackets etc and not a set of mud flaps? help meeeee..

I had the same problem, I just picked up some bow tie mud flaps from the parts store. Easy to install, cheap, and no more rocks.

Re: BFGs throwing rocks!

Which brand did you get? I really would like the diamond plate ones but plastic will do. Got any pictures? Would love to see. Thanks

Yep. Just don't see how they'll mount up. The front I can see but the back just is blowing my mind.

If it's not much trouble snap some closeup and how you mounted them whenever you can! Are you running front and rear?

Re: BFGs throwing rocks!

Yup, I have had several sets over the year's and rock throwin is a downfall. Other than that I like how they work in snow and they ride quite and smooth.

Re: BFGs throwing rocks!

This is my first time running them. I've always loved the look of them. The side walls and tread is awesome looking to me. Just wish they'd throw even half the rocks and I'd be ok.

I ordered some mud flaps/ rock guards whatever you wanna call them, off eBay. Don't think they'll work on the back, if they do I'll order another set. The back looks like it needs a bracket mounted to the frame to hold the flap. If anyone is willing to help make a custom bracket that I can screw into the frame to hold my flap that'd be good. I don't have the tools or know of anyone local. Thanks fellas

Re: BFGs throwing rocks!

My rears mount with a few screws, just like the front. The truck is filthy, but here is a shot of the rear.

Thanks for the picture. Still waiting on the ones I ordered to show up. If I think they'll work in the rear I'm ordering another set. Thanks!!!

Re: BFGs throwing rocks!

I ordered some that say GM on them. They won't work in the front, my big ole 33s will rip them right off if I turn left and turning right will rip off the passenger! They fit well if wheels are straight but if I turn they are so close to hitting the body that these won't even work. Wow what a bummer..

I'll snap some pics and show you guys what I mean
