Re: My chassis coming along

That looks more like a chassis for an altered than a chassis for a pickup but it ought to be plenty strong. What's the plan for the truck when it's done?

48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six.
71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

I was wondering if you were building it to run in the Goodguys Autocross events.

Re: My chassis coming along

Nice setup... looks like overkill for a 'grocery-getter' but if it shows your skills then it shows them well for a business card!

What size are your rear wheels and tires? tire make?

Thanks

Re: My chassis coming along

Others thought autocross. I thought drag week. Looks like that frame will take some serious HP. I would like to see it, live, especially when you start to set the sheet metal on so I can wrap my mind around your double tube design. It looks almost pro stock. Hope my answers to your questions were sufficient. I can barely remember last week. I do engine/drive train stuff if you haven't already made those choices or want to see where I went.(go)

I'd also like to know if you're using a design program, or if you're just that good. Looks great! Awfully big tires for a grocery getter!

I'm good at saving money and paying for the work. I don't do the work myself. My fabricator uses CAD.
