Re: Drop Suspension parts
Check out Western Chassis as well.
Before the air ride my truck was lowered with all Western Chassis parts & I was very pleased. I ordered straight from them @ https://westernchassisinc.com/C10-suspension/ |

Re: Drop Suspension parts
I look around and buy from who ever combines the best price with the "I want to support these guys" feeling I get. The feeling can compel me to spend more then the lowest priced vendor I see.

Re: Drop Suspension parts
Ive got a 84c10 with a 5 inch front drop and an axle flip in the back anyone know where I can get narrowed control arms to run the wide rims I want. I need to narrow the track 2-2 1/2 inches.

Re: Drop Suspension parts
Yeah stay away from djm, I put their 3" drop spindles on my truck and had to radius the top edges of the spindle with a grinder because it hit the upper control arm. They may all be this way but I highly doubt every company spindles you have to do this.

Re: Drop Suspension parts
I've got an old set of 5 hole circle track style rims that are 15x8 with 4 inches of backspace but with the dish in the rim center it puts the backspace closer to 5 inches. The lip of the rim sticks a 1/4 inch past the outside of the fender lip.
I've got some old Bullett drop spindles and factory coils that Im almost positive are not cut. There is 3/4 to an inch of shims in the upper a arms to take the negative camber out. This thing was dropped back in the day and crudely at that but it sits the way I want. I have to use the rims ive got cause well they're perfect and I've never seen a square with a set which would be kind of nice. Just wondering which companies make narrowed track a arms or I'm going to remove the shims from the uppers and narrow the lower to bring the track in to where I think it should work. |
