What is normal oil pressure for a 250?

My motor reads 40 psi at idle and goes up to 43 Psi when cruising at 50mph on the road. My 67' 250 has an old mechanical oil pressure line which I plan on going electric eventually. Is 40 psi at idle good or should be better? I just did an oil change 2 weeks ago, I'm running She'll Rotella triple protection 10w/30. Thanks guys.

40 @ idle is way good. The rule of thumb is 10 lbs per 1,000 RPM

Awesome! Thanks! I'm gonna do a compression test this weekend, do you know what number I should be looking for? Maybe this old 250 will last a lot longer than I was thinking it was.

130-140 was brand new. Long as your no lower than 110 I think you'll be fine. A bottle of engine restore could cure that if your lower. lol Ran that in my 292 for some time and it helped alot....but it doesn't help with valve train problems. lol If its running smooth....run some good oil in it and tune it up real good and as long as you don't drive it like I drove mine it should last you awhile longer.
