Prop valve without reset button

Pol sells a brake prop valve for disc drum that does not have a reset button. Anybody use one of these? I'm on my 3 rd prop valve .... They all leaked at the reset button. Driving me nuts! They are Gm 172-1353 pv2

Re: Prop valve without reset button

That is a metering valve. From what I understand you need a metering valve on a disc/drum setup.

CPP sells just the metering valve for $10.00. I replaced my leaking prop valve and it's been great. You can also pull a gm prop from a junk yard. The new stuff is all made overseas, no way around it.

I use one. It has never been a problem. If you need to reset it, remove the plastic warning switch on the top, re-center the piston using a plastic pick and re-install the warning switch. No problem!
