The paint looks good. Hope you post up pics as you restore the camper interior. Are you going back stock in there or new layout?

Re: mY 77 CHALET

outside will remain stock with original color repainted and the other decals remade and put back on. The inside of the camper was destroyed when I got it. I completely gutted the top and started over. It will retain its original equipment i.e. ice box, stove, heater, sink. But will be redone in modern materials, marble counter top new fridge new stove new heater new inverter real wood cabinets and no 70's wood grain laminate lol. here is a before pic and a current pic.

Re: mY 77 CHALET

I have heard of people using a Home depot roofing material for a dynomat replacement under carpeting on Blazers. Not sure what it's called though or if anyone here has actually used it.

Re: mY 77 CHALET

It's called Peel and Seal. I've used it inside the doors of my 85, worked well.

Re: mY 77 CHALET

you used it INSIDE the doors, so basically before you put the trim back on. Is it an effective sound dampener?

Re: mY 77 CHALET

This is on a diesel truck that still doesn't have carpet so it's still noisy as hell in there. But yes, it definitely made a difference in the way the doors sound when they're closed. I'm going to use it on the floors before we put carpet down.

Re: mY 77 CHALET

We need to chat someday about the other orphan you have.

I am hoping...that i will recieve an email with a picture i want to share with you. I found it on IG and the guy has a mini nook and has used 1x1 or 1x2 strips to replace the sidewall and...roof materials. Looks amazing.
