Changing oil pan gasket 250 6 cylinder?

Changing oil pan gasket 250 6 cylinder?
Do i have to lift the engine or should the oil pan slid right out with out lifting the engine?

Yes. You will need to unhook the front mounts & raise the engine. Also take off the flywheel cover.

It's been a long time since I have done one. I don't think I did but it wouldn't hurt any. Sometimes you have to turn the over as the counterbalance on the front of the crank may be down & interfere. If you have the facilities & don't have a lot of assesories on the engine it is better to pull the engine.

I didn't have to loosen the trans on mine but I did have to lift the front fairly high I probably should have I guess almost 50 year old rubber helped
