electric fuel pump question
My truck has a carter p4070 electric fuel pump on it. It is a bit loud before start-up, makes a squealing noise when I shut the truck off. The noise does not bother me, as I only hear it before i start and after I shut it off. I think the rubber bushing are probably wore. My question is that I am thinking of getting a spare, for when it is needed. Any opinions on the brand? Should I just stay with the carter? Thanks

Re: electric fuel pump question
I'd go ahead and change it, my efi pump was squeeling just like that, did not think much of it. But after my can install I kept having a lean condition . Pulled my hair out with mass air meter, intake routing, computer 're tune. I had good psi at idle. Finally changed the pump and it solved it. If I was a betting man yours is falling off under a load as well .
