Motor update
Well, I finally made the choice to upgrade my motor. The old 6 cylinder was old and every few months needed some work. A friend who has done some work on my truck commented that he had a 350 that would look good under my hood. In researching parts etc., he found a 350 with a Turbo 400 automatic transmission, flowmaster mufflers, headers already to slip into the truck.
Here is the before and the after. In the next few days I will add some more pics. |

Re: Motor update
It is all put back together and sitting in my driveway, the bottom of the headers is just over 7 inches off the ground.

Re: Motor update
That is sweet! Very nicely done, now it goes much better (I would think(, and looks great as well. Thanks for posting such a wealth of photos to show the progress of the project.

Re: Motor update
It would be great if a few of us from the lower mainland of BC could get together with the trucks, of course, to just hang out, and talk trucks. I'm in Vancouver, and there's quite a few of these trucks round here. Perhaps someone could start a thread?
