Porterbuilt vs. Ride Tech control arms info? Maybe CPP?

I am in need of another set of some Airbag control arms since I purchased some Airbagit ones a few years ago and they are garbage. I have narrowed it down to Porterbuilt or Ride Tech although I have just recently heard of CPP's arms. My main concern at this point is getting a good quality arm but not spending an arm and a leg since I am pretty much out of money and the truck is far from being done. But once I get new arms it should be good enough where if can be put on the road which will be good enough for now.

A friend of mine has some Ride Tech arms, he was able to use the factory upper shock mounts and not modify his steering shaft either. If Porter built arms are the same and do not need these modifications then that will most likely be the deciding factor. Has anyone used Porter built arms with the factory shock mounts and steering shaft?

Any other information or comments or concerns are greatly appreciated.

MMW also makes arms for the trucks. They are a bit cheaper if I recall correctly.

I am aware of MMW but i'm not a fan of the flat arms. Along with that I've had a couple people tell me to stay away from them.

They moved away from the flat arms (at least for the bottom) for the C10's. You can also order them with the "Dodger" upper arms. Take a look: http://michiganmetalworks.com/store/...product_id=120

I like Porterbuilt because you can get them narrowed with an inch forward to center the wheels. I think you will need to end up modifying your steering with them though.

Have you thought about modifying the stock ones?

I have looked at the newer style of MMW arms, to me they look pretty cheap which is another reason I want to stay away from them. Porter built is defiantly my first pick but I need to keep money in mind along with ease of installation due to some medical issues that I will have to deal with starting early Dec. That is why my second choice is Ride tech at the moment. The fact that you can get PB arms 1" forward is really nice which is why I was hoping they would work without modifying the steering or shocks. I am also using the stock crossmember so not sure if that makes a difference with how close they get to the steering or not.

So I've decided on porter built. I spoke with one of the techs there and he stated the arms will work with factory steering and shock mounts since I am running the factory crossmember and haven't Z's the frame. Will be ordering them this week.

I faced this dilemma as well and went with the PBs. Very happy with my decision.
