shock extension interference?

I'm installing a flip kit on my 80 C10 and was wondering what everyone else had done about the shock extension bolt that hits the leaf spring plate?

I dont really want to take material off the plate since theres not much of it between the edge and the bolt holes.

I was thinking of just bolting the extensions down at the center and inner holes and leave the outer holes un-secured.

What do you guys think?

BTW the flip kit is from western chassis, the shock extensions are from the DJM kit I decided not to use.
