Just double checking.....disc conversion

So I have had a nitemare of a time with upper ball joints one my 67 c10. I'm just going to go with 73-87 stuff. I have read and reread everything I can find on the subject.best I can tell is this....
1. I'm going to use stock 67 control arms, use the 73-87 upper and lower balljoints.
2. Using the 73-87 stock spindles. I know I have to figure out 1"or 1.25"
3. Is there anything else I need, or need to know? Thanks!

Re: Just double checking.....disc conversion

If you are keeping your center link you will need 73-87 outer tie rods. Also you will need to use the 67 outer tie rods for your inner tie rods and get the tie rod adjusting sleeves like the ones in the link.

This is how I added disc brakes to my 69 Burb.

Re: Just double checking.....disc conversion

I'm doing a similar disc conversion: 70 GMC using 73-87 stock spindles. Use 73-87 ball joints, and tie rod ends as rocknss says. I used these conversion tie rod sleeves for that funky tie rod end combination:

Yes, use the 1.25" spindles and discs.
