If I was looking for a truck, this is one I'd call about.

http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/cto/5240329781.html

I'd have to go back to original sized wheels but otherwise....

That's a great surviving Custom/30. 292! Looks like later GM 16" wheels. Just some original hubcaps and 235/85 A/S tires would do the trick for me. Is that a chrome 4wd shifter swapped-in?

Very cool truck and it brings back a lot of child hood memories for me. My Dad worked for Connecticut Light and Power way back in the day and when he was on call he got too bring a truck and sometimes a car home.. One was a stepper just like the one posted, another was an early 70's K20 and last but not least was a 71 Malibu wagon.. Even though I was only 4 yrs. old at the time I just loved the look of all three of them and could just stare at them for hours!

Nice restoration , that bed wood and stainless strips are not original , but looks great . I'd remove the bed rails , if it was mine

Re: If I was looking for a truck, this is one I'd call about.

Yeah, not 100% original, but not restored either. Just been painted, bed wood and strips replaced (as usual), and probably the steering wheel and things in the interior replaced to freshen it up. It's so close to stock that anyone could put it there with ease and never restore it. I appreciate these trucks as the last of the long lineage of big boy 1t pickups that go back to the first pickup box being set on a truck frame, such as the one in my avatar
