Question Clear Image Headers (trans crossmember)

I just ordered a set of these for my C/10 with 1 3/4" primaries. What are you guys doing about the cross member for the trans? Are you running an aftermarket cross member? Do you have any photos of how you have your exhaust routed? Thanks.

Re: Clear Image Headers (trans crossmember)

What vehicle do you have? 2wd or 4wd? What transmission do you have? Manual or automatic? What headers do you have? full length, 3/4 length, shorties? All I know is on all the trucks I've put headers on, no matter what type of truck, engine, transmission, or type of headers, I have an exhaust shop bend the pipe to go wherever it needs to go to stay no lower than the bottom of the frame...always over the crossmembers. Never heard of Clear Image headers. Are they any good? The name sure doesn't fit the product.

My truck is a big block with a turbo 400 and a gear vendors overdrive. Sanderson long tube headers and Doug Thorley electric exhaust cutouts do not leave much room for exhaust tubing. Aftermarket trans mount and 2.5 in diameter tubing with 14 inch magnaflows mounted above the trailing arms. Exhaust exits under the rear bumper after running around the stainless steel tank mounted under the bed, behind the differential. Hope that helps.

2WD, Turbo 350. 383 small block. Clear Image Headers, full length. Yes, these are the best fitting, most ground clearance header for these trucks. However, you have to run a different cross member due to where the headers exit.

Here is a description of the headers.
