I thought 69-72 had upper and lower trim to mate up to the tailight surround bezel. That looks like a 67/68 gate to me with upper only. Probably a rare one-of-a-kind 68 anniv edition take-off gate.

Here is my Brand New Chevy gate. I found it at a Flea Market.
I paid 525 Cdn for it. Keep in mind thet a Repo cost the same if not more.And tey fit like CRAP !

My '69 fleetside had trim only on the top of the tailgate (maybe because it only had the top trim along the sides).

Does it have the rear taillight bezels? If so, maybe 69 was a transition year? I thought yoy only got tailgate trim with the bezels, otherwise it would look awkward. I know 67/68 taillight bezels were more like eyebrows than surrounds. Regardless I was just having some fun with the 68 Anniv crowd.

Jeff, You are right, that gate is a 67-68 with that type of trim. Every 69 I have seen had the trim on the bottom also. I think I have one of those "Anniv. take off gates", What do you think?? Is is the right gold color??? I think it is??

HAD the taillight bezels--they're trashed, now. And they were the full surround bezels, not the eybrows.

I have a minty Chevy tailgate and a brand new no letters repro that came with my Jimmy.

The orginal Chevy tailgate weighs in at 55 pounds

The repro weighs in at 30 pounds. :p :p
