Color at last!!!!
After over 3 years in paint jail at a crooks body shop, I picked my truck up unfinished about 3 years ago ( it cost an arm and a leg) and have been sitting on it ever since. At the end of may this year I finally took it to another painter. He said it would take at most 2 months (haha). He has not finished painting or wet sanding it yet, but I went and looked at it and it looks very nice. Hopefully he will be completely finished in a week. Now maybe I can slowly start clearing out my spare bedroom.

Re: Color at last!!!!
Am I just fooling myself or does everyone thinks that all body shop guys are crooked? When you add in the fact that I sell used trucks from all the stereotypes I am as about crooked as they come. I only takes one bad apple to ruin a whole batch. I know there are a lot of body shop horror stories. I feel for you being taken advantage of the truck does look great it is gonna be so sweet it will hurt your teeth. Jim

I remember that truck well. When you first posted pictures one couldn't help but fall in love. Gonna be one of the best in the country when done!

Re: Color at last!!!!
one of my favorite trucks EVER, so glad to see it on here again. That is by far one of the rarest I've seen with its option list. Can't wait to see the final product, that is one beautiful truck, didn't know you were restoring it. Paint looks great. Are switching from black to parchment buckets?

Thanks for the update Jason. Nice to see you back on. The paint looks VERY nice. Your truck will be a work of art when complete.

Re: Color at last!!!!
Hi Jason, I'm late in the game but want to say it's great to see you here. No comments on either trucks. Nope, already praised them enough for one lifetime...heh heh. Aw heck, what the hay. It good to hear you are seeing progress on your "Ultimate BBC SWB Cheyenne Super". And, keeping "Cheyenne Super Survivor" unrestored bumps the combo up to a level previously unknown to mankind. How's that sound? I mean it! (and never said it before)

Re: Color at last!!!!
Thanks everyone!! I hope it turns out as nice as you all expect it to. LOL.
The good thing about waiting so long on the paint is that I have had time to collect the vast majority of parts. Mostly NOS or reconditioned.

Re: Color at last!!!!
he's doing good, thanks for asking. unfortunately he's not able to do much in terms of helping me finish the truck, but I know he's looking forward to seeing it come together and supervising and telling me the "correct" way to do it lol
