Which cross member for a 4L65E

I plan to put in a 4L65E next summer. Which cross member will I need? Also, the truck is a low hump - will the floor have to be cut for this to fit?

Ouch - I will check to see if they sell just the transmission cross member without the motor mounts.

Can't you just slide the one you have back and redrill the frame?

If that will work it saves money. Currently I have a manual, but I have an automatic cross member - though I don't know if there are differences in them and if so, I don't know which one I have.

I have installed several 700r4's into 71 and 72 chevy trucks. I always just moved the stock auto crossmember back. Not sure on the 4L65e, but I can't imagine it would be too hard. For nearly $500, I would build my own!

I used the CPP cross member on mine. I didn't have an auto cross member as I was converting from a 3OTT. It will fit fine with your low hump cab.
