What I did Sunday Night....
About 2 weeks ago I replaced the front brakes on the Jimmy and had a friend come by to help me bleed them. After bleeding the mastercylinder and 2 minutes into the calipers we found the dredded collapse hose syndrome. That week I got Kristi to pick up all new hoses from NAPA and we put them on last night, well all but the rear.
The front passenger side went fine, the drivers side had problems. We ended up pulling the short hardline OFF, after taking the fitting loose with a pair of vice-grips and cutting the flare off and taking it to another buddies house that was there, find another fitting and re-flare the line. One that was done it went alot better. BUT then I decide to move to the rear. It wanted to do the same thing (strip), and we couldn't get the line off! I left the hose loose so it could drain the fluid out and plan to pull the rearend and put another in it's place and while it is out, I will cut and re-flare the rear. Sheesh!
