Red face I think it's done

It's hard to tell with a stock motor if it's done or not. I have done as much as I plan to do for now anyway. I need to get some better pics in the sun though.

Y'all don't fall asleep....

How much you charge to detail Ken? That's beautiful Did you have it steamed cleaned? Txstruck's engine bay got steam cleaned and looked great. Thought about getting that done later to get rid of grease and grime.

Thanks guys, but I can't take "all" the credit. A lot of the work was already done. I used a couple of cans of Gunk Engine Brite, and $4-5 at the coin car wash using their engine/cleaner.

Once I got the road film off, I spent about a week taking parts off and repainting them. I order new stickers from LMC, and the new washer bottle, and overflow bottle came from GM.

It still has some rough edges, but it's the best I can do for now. I have to get the undercarriage done before Saturday. And I still have a door panel to dye...

Did you pull the intake bolts to seal them and clean the intake up? Can't tell with all the crap piled on top of the engine.

Mike I was a little concerned that would open up a can of worms. I decided to clean it up good, and paint it like it was.

After Super Chevy, if it seeps more oil, I will pull the bolts and do it right. I know that's a cheese out, but I'm pretty sure the carb would have had to come off to do it right.

You know where that would lead. Since the carb is off, I may as well just pull the manifold, and since the manifold is off.....

Looking great Ken, probably see you at the show. Of course only as a spectator, my truck will be in the shop.

Looks pretty good for stock

I really like the restored look right now! Especially if it is slammed and rolling some big wheels!
