Seems like a good buy, especially with a bit of haggling....Lots of nice parts.

You have to wonder what people are thinking sometimes. The paint is one thing but that splitter on the front and a few other things are just so strange!

Hahahahaha!

It's my life's work not to "down" other people's design, etc.

That truck would be a great starting point. The guy has talent (look at his '59 Chevy on his
facebook page if you check out the video).

I love the mod he's done to open the hood using the bowtie as a latch. Really cool.
I'd buy this truck.

But, there is some stuff I can't figure out. Paint's a matter of (not my) taste.

It's just me. But my favorite custem head-scratcher is this one:

The gas pedal, gauges or stereo? I'm guessing the stereo LOL

All of the above. With the stereo in the lead. Followed closely by the choke "wire".

But, I gotta admit....If a guy has a truck at this level of trim and has a stereo sitting on the shelf in the garage? Wants some sounds?

Stuff 'er in thare!!!!!

Re: Local CL find..interesting paint

im really interested in the return spring for his carb attached to a chain? not sure where the chain is connected to. That and the rubber fuel line touching the block would have to be changed quickly for me. otherwise i love the hood and grille. might have to make a hood like that

The chain looks to be attached to the alternator.

Purchasing a truck like this is a scary proposition. Not for the superficial stuff like paint, but for the quality of work that was done to it. It's almost easier to start with a pile of parts, than to go through and check every part and piece because so many things look to be put together with whatever was laying around at the time.

Re: Local CL find..interesting paint

Which chain? There are 2 under the hood. 2nd might be a "engine tie down"

Exactly!! If you're gonna cut the dash up, at least install the stereo properly

Dude lost his leg and can't drive a manual tranny First time I've heard that one from a seller.
