Buckets are recovered utility buckets.

I would say yes to $1500. Offer $1100-$1200. theres that much in parts. don't see a transfer case shifter so could be missing that (transfer case) if the top is in fair cond. that alone is worth about $5- $600.

That appears to be a double wall top, they aren't worth much. I would say $300 if the hatch is good, and most of that I would put toward the hatch. Utility buckets probably $100-$150. Rollbar $200. Drive train is worth a decent amount. I think you can get there in parts prices, I would feel good paying around $1,000, even a little more.
But with you in Florida and the Jimmy in Nebraska that probably kills the deal.

why is a double wall top worth less than a single wall?

One reason single walls are more popular is that single walls mount from the top down. So you can remove the top without removing your interior panels.
Another reason is single wall tops have interior lights which is a pretty nice feature.

Now that I'm not at work and can see the CL ad, I'd say that would definitely be quite a project.

Sure it's a 72? Wrong door panels. The shifter is there for the tcase just not the right shifter. Double walls are a dime a dozen. I've been looking for a second single wall for a while. Every time I find ones it's wasted and they want way too much.
