You have to be a "Premium" member to post want to buy ads. If you click on the word "Subscribe" in the menu bar above it will explain the subscription options....

I've gone through all 3, but have had no luck so far. Found one for sale on ebay but he wants right around 3 grand for it.

I did see a set of dodge buddy seats for sale on ebay, was wondering if it'd work. Your seat looks really good!

Re: Bucket Buddy Seats

Those aren't buddy buckets Buddies came in 67-68 trucks as a dealer installed option ,They were also made for Dodge trucks but the seat mounting frames are different and the foam and seat upholstery are different .

I didn't think they were, sounds like it's going to be a pain to find a set.

Re: Bucket Buddy Seats

I know it's not a very good picture, but you get the idea. I traded a tan upholstered bench seat straight across for the buddy buckets you see my kids sitting. The best part is that they are also upholstered. The deals are out there.

Yep definitely want the buddy seats for sure. I'll have to keep my eyes open, hopefully I can snag one before I get back home in April.

Buddy buckets were a factory installed option, not a dealer installed option. I am sure a dealer could have installed them, but they were a factory option. They were standard in 1967 when the CST package was ordered and optional in 1968.

Re: Bucket Buddy Seats

If the prices keep rising on them I may have to yank the ones in my ton truck and part with them since it may not be running anytime soon.

Lightbulb Re: Bucket Buddy Seats

the dodge version is usually easier to find and cheaper too. i just saw a dodge 4x4 in pick-n-pull yesterday that HAD them, someone swapped out the buckets for some ricer seats but the center seat WAS still there-it's in my storage now. i've modified the dodge frames in the past to fit in chevy/gmc's, i used to have a jig set up to do the mods but it's long gone now. watch for mid/late 70s dodges, especially ones with the adventurer package.

Re: Bucket Buddy Seats

If I'm not mistaking some internationals had them too the frames were even more differnt than dodge. And requires more modification. But the seats and console are still the same with differnt upolstery.

They look great. Did you use pre made covers or totally custom. I am in the same boat with the dodge one's. I was considering using truckseats.
