My summer project 1968 GMC short box

Attachment 1465183

New to this forum, so I thought I'd start by posting a pic of my summer build. 1968 gmc short box with a 250 six and three in the tree. Seems my iPad will only let me post one picture at a time. Until I figure it out that is...

Buff it out and put a coat of wax on it and drive it!

Nice truck! That doesn't look like a project to me. Neat camper too.

I lowered it 4 1/2" in front and 6" in the back, added some fake patina and door logos. I put on Riddler 8x18 in the front and 9.5x18 in the rear. My wife made a seat cover out of a Mexican blanket and I put in a wooden steering wheel. What do you think?

Thanks for the complement, for the lowering I used 2 1/2" spindles with 2" lowering springs in the front, and 4" lowering springs and 2" lowering blocks in the back. I got it from CPP. I originally wanted a 4/6 grand slam kit, but they don't offer it in a 4/6, so they just made up a package for me. Worked out awesome, everything fit perfect.

Modified some old Harley Davidson mirrors to fit, they were the size I was looking for.

Another pic of the interior. For some reason, I can only post one picture per post.

Kelly Norwood pinstriping the logo on my doors. A few pencil lines to keep everything straight but other than that, it was all free hand! This dude is awesome!

Just installed power steering, tilt steering column, and a700r4 transmission! Just need to install a lock up kit and take it for a test drive.

Very nice. What steering wheel is that you have? Did they offer a GMC horn cap for it?
