Powerglide

I have the powerglide and column shift 1966 c10. I don't have any of the linkage including the kickdown linkage. I could use some help finding that stuff if anyone has an idea where to look. I have been on the internet all day and I am still at zero. Or if someone has linkage.

Thanks

Rocky

Re: Powerglide

what engine do you have in your truck? The kickdown linkage is different for the inline 6 versus the V-8.

Re: Powerglide

LT1 Burb I will keep that in mind but I can buy a cable system that would work and have everything I need.... the shift linkage is what I really need.

the linkage i got off the impala was original and it works fine, i did need to get the correct carb rod as LT1 stated. just need that trans swivel rod to be correct length as well.

Re: Powerglide

The linkage off of the impala... are you talking about the kickdown or the steering linkage.

Why don't you just use Lokar, that's what I had in my suburban.

good option. if your frame wasn't originally an auto, you would need to modify it to make it work or have the shift linkage be mounted on a bracket on the trans, such as the lokar aftermarket piece

well, I have seen where you can weld the pivot bracket thing to you frame, same location where the z-bar for manuals would be located, that was cut from another frame and make it work. the other options is convert to floor shifter.

Re: Powerglide

what exactly do you need? now that we know you have that bracket.. is it the rods from the trans to the steering column or the linkage from the trans to the carb. as LT1 says he has the piece that bolts to the block which is a bellcrank that bolts on where the b/h meets the back of the block. there is an expanded view I believe in the assembly manual. perhaps look at that to see the pieces and define what you need, when you say you need p/g linkage then that frame bracket is part of it

Re: Powerglide

I just meant that I have the automatic chassis. And so I have the part that is welded on for the pivot part of the linkage. I have no linkage what so ever.

what I am getting at is the piece that LT1 talked about is also part of the linkage.
as I told you before I have all 0of the pieces but you seem in a hurry and I have stuff in different containers and I don't have the time right now to perhaps spent a couple of hours digging to pull it all out and for you to say oh! i already got it somewhere else

Re: Powerglide

I think if you are not worrying about stock that you should just use the Lokar linkage.
http://www.jegs.com/i/Lokar/625/ACA-...oductId=749836

Just adapt it to the powerglide trans bracket and use regular carb kickdown linkage. Trying to find stock linkage is like looking for hens teeth.

Re: Powerglide

I need all the pieces I still haven't found anything yet. How long will it take you to look. and how much will you want for everything. Sorry for the misunderstanding it is hard to communicate on a forum so if I could call you that would be great.

Re: Powerglide

If Padresag has it all I would buy it all as you will have a hard time locating any of it elsewhere.
