Getting started on my truck

I just discovered the hard way that the front drums are riveted to the hub. Now that I may have damaged the hub is there any place to purchase a new or rebuilt for a 1968 1/2 c10?

Re: Getting started on my truck

Tons of guys do front disk conversions and have all their drum brakes parts just laying around collecting dust so if you really want to stay with drum brakes then I'm sure you can get the parts you need in the classifieds section here on the board.
There is a reason so many guys are doing the front disk conversion it's because it's one of the best upgrades you can do to these old trucks if you plan to drive it.

I will be swapping out my drums for disc this winter. Unfortunately, you are too far away from NY.
I'm sure there are many drums in your neck of the woods...

Re: Getting started on my truck

Bill3rail and xeen thanks for reading and replying. After cooling off and looking at my drum and hub I'm pretty sure I didn't hurt the hub. But in case I found a co worker that has the parts I need. A disc swap is definitely in plan but right now I just want to get the truck to start. It has a locked up 250 but I got a 454 in the shop. So it will definitely need the brakes to slow her down. What erks me the most I don't know why I didn't see the rivets in the hub. I've had several old cars and never seen anything like that before.

I've located a possible source but just to keep my options opened what would you want for the hubs?
