anyone cut the gas tank holder tabs out?

I relocated the gas tank, and am wanting to put a sub box behind the seat. Trying to figure out if it is worth the trouble to cut the mounting tabs off or just build the box around them. Thanks.

I used them to secure my box, easy to do and strong enough to keep it from rattling.

I also used these tabs for securing my box in place.

It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Mine was 3/4" and I used thin 1/4" for the backside up against the cab wall.
It's not perfect but the 10" subs will hit pretty good when I turn it up.

your tank might rusty, and all corroded inside, so if i was you, i would just avoid cutting up your tank, that can just make more problems. Especially where it's so easy to build a bracket

I wasn't going to cut the tank, it is already gone. I was talking about cutting the tabs out that are in the back of the cab that the tank bolts to.

I used those tabs to hold the my subs and speakers down, which works really well, i don't know how things would work if you cut them out, so i can't help you there, sorry
