Improving things in my truck

Alright. I have made some progress with my old gmc and I am slowly re doing the suspension and steering components etx. My fuel gauge needle is getting stuck and I am not quite sure why it is, it moves fine when I turn the ignition on but when I turn it off it doesn't come back to the E right and I have to tap on it to get it to go back
