C30 crew cab To K30 crew cab swap questions

I deicded not to buy the 87 cause of the price and it turned out to be 2wd Anyway It made me do some thinking if i had a long bed truck that was a rusty POS as a donor and i find a crewcab Cab and a regular shortbed would it be easy to swap the cab and shortbed onto the frame? Would i have to extend the frame of the 4x4? you can find alot of c30s out here but k30s are harder to come by
