'82 C10 2wd, short fleet build

Hey all - I haven't been on here much lately but decided to start a build thread for this truck to keep me motivated! Getting a drop, 5.3L, etc. Still haven't totally decided on color, but I will be grinding off that nasty tractor supply black paint. Needs cab corners and one fender, but a pretty solid truck otherwise...guess the PO didn't lie about it's Texas roots.

Anyway, I have it torn down as far as I am going to go...gonna bypass the complete frame off on this one...already have two of those in progress.

Attaching some pics to get started...

Looks good, don't worry about the cab corners. Mine lived in southern California its whole life and needed one cab corner done.

The PO sort of told a fib about the cab corners...he said they had pinholes that he filled with tiger hair...turns out they were baseball sized holes filled with foam and bondo. Either way I was doing cab corners so I guess it didn't matter. The bummer is that one side had already received a cab corner and instead of piecing in what they needed, they used the entire panel...lapped it over the cab and beat it in...then applied a 1/4" of bondo. I am in the processing of fixing that mess.

Ended up tearing it the rest of the way down to a bare frame...can't help myself but to do it 100% I guess.
