66 Gauge Cluster Issue???

Hello everyone. We are in the middle of doing a rewire of our truck using the AAW update kit.... Going well so far. As part of the install we removed the gauge cluster and decided to take it apart to clean it up a bit. While removing the gauges we notice what may be an issue with the TEMP gauge.

I have attached two photos to help me explain and hopefully get some help.

The one photo is of the face of the gauge...not sure if this helps? the next photo is of the side view of the gauge. In this photo you can see there is a green and red spool of wire. On the green side there is a very thin wire running above the spool attached to both sides. On the red side, there is a wire but it is only attached to one side..

Is this an issue? if so can it be fixed? How?

Any hellp would be great.....66GWN

Re: 66 Gauge Cluster Issue???

Take a volt meter and measure the resistance across the two post on the back side and see what you have. If it is open you will need a gauge. About 40 ohms if I remember correctly on a good gauge.
