My truck's evil twin - but which grille is correct?
First one I've seen in the exact same color scheme:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-GMC-Sie...p2056016.l4276 Two things piqued my interest though: a) The grill has black paint. Is that right for a 1970? I thought the 70s were all chrome b) Why is the wheelbase listed as 000 and the font for the VIN different on the SPID than the rest of the SPID? I think I've seen that before, though, but am not sure. Thoughts? - Dave

It looks to me to be the right grille, but wrongly painted.

The VIN font is correct. The font for the VIN area is different than the option list. I wonder if the VIN is typed in prior to adding the options, possibly at a different location? Not sure on the the why.

Re: My truck's evil twin - but which grille is correct?
The grille is painted correct for being the 71/72 grille that it is. 68-70 had a different grille than 71/72 and there is no ridge stamped around openings as a border for the paint. The vertical center bar is also wider on 71/72s
