Hey ! FNG here ! My 61: The Bucket

OK, so an (old) new guy here.

Old Fart from Western Nebraska that just likes building things.

Just picked up a '61 Apache C10 from out of a field near Bayard, Nebr. Pics posted below, it is rough as hell but has potential.

LOTS of rust replacement/panels to do !

The engine and tranny will go. I want a 350 and t350 behind it.

That "pretty" yellow paint is house paint, and is covering inches of bondo ! LOL ! Heat gun and some stripper it is already falling right off.

Well, I wanted a "Project", I got one !!! (As the wife rolls her eyes and walks away...)

Have been checking out the forum and have already gotten some good info, so thanks in advance.

The kid I bought it from said he started it and drove it off the trailer when he bought it. It spins freely, and he had purchased a ring and gasket kit. I don't think I'll put anytime into it, as I plan to stick a small block in there.

Thanks for the welcomes ! Time to get to work on the beast !
