motor mounts
does anybody have a pic of the 72 style bb mounts i heard they was different than 67/71 thanks henry

I don't think there was a big block until 69. Just a heads up... correct me if i'm wrong though.

The big block was available and installed in many trucks in 1968. Yes the 68-71 towers are different than the 72 towers. The 68-71 motor mounts are not near as strong and are more difficult to install. They are also about 10 times the price as the 72 style motor mounts. These reasons plus the fact that 72s are hard to come by are what has driven the prices up on the 72 towers. I have both styles here (for sale), but you can purchase everything for the 68-71 new from GM for the 68-71. Expect to pay over $400.00 for that though. The 72s have been discontinued.
