Paint help on grill surround
Anybody have an original paint grill surround that has the black background, white band and body color top. I need to know what color it is in the center.

Re: Paint help on grill surround
Body color on the one I'm presently looking at. Body color underneath, that is. Interior toward grill area is blacked out like the rest of grill area.

Re: Paint help on grill surround
Here are some pics I took of the 66 I parted. I tried to document all the factory paint lines. Hope this helps.

Re: Paint help on grill surround
Just saw your message , The only gold paint on my 66 K20 grille surround is on the face. Picture everything black on the back side and behind the grille. The white stripe around the grille , then that pan is white overspray. I put my phone behind the grille and took these shots.

Re: Paint help on grill surround
here is how I did mine:
I painted the black first, taped off the inside of the white stripe, and painted the white, the taped off the white and painted the body color. a far as I have been able to tell on my trucks, the scoop area is black, there is a little portion of the white area that comes into it in the center.
