Adding a 15" sub
I have what I consider to be a decent setup in my panel truck. The sound is great, but I find that my MTX 10s don't quite get the REALLY low frequencies. I was thinking of adding a single 15" sub to boost the frequencies below 50-60hz.
Thoughts?

Re: Adding a 15" sub
In my experience, a set of 2 quality 12" woofers will be better than 10's or a 15.
I found that 10's always distorted if it got too low, and the 15 if it was too high. If you've got things setup to be able to tune crossovers so that it's just the 15 on stuff that's very low and 10's on the higher stuff, it may sound good. However, I think you could get something that sounds just as good or better with 2 12's that will hit high and low, and take up less space. |

Re: Adding a 15" sub
Also do some searching for tuning the box to a lower frequency. Check your make and model sub and see what dimensions it calls for.
