King Pin bolt
I need 1, or 2, of the bolts that hold the king pins in on my 57 chev truck front axle. They are the bolts that are threaded on 1 end, that you slip through the hole in the axle. My king pin set came with 1 that had the threads screwed up. I retapped it, but soon as I put pressure on it, the threads pulled. If anyone can help me, I'd sure appreciate it. I've emailed, messaged, and searched all over the net with no luck. Thanks

Re: King Pin bolt
That isn't what he needs.
That pin holds the rear spring pin in place on a 3/4 ton. This pin to be exact http://www.classicparts.com/1937-54-.../#.VlDHP-KmhYc I've never tried to save one when knocking it out of an axle but that is a possibility.

Re: King Pin bolt
I think this is the bolt you are looking for, correct? it is the wedge bolt to hold the kingpin into the solid axle. they come with a kingpin kit or you could also try a spring shop locally if you are just after the bolt.
tuckers truck parts has a good photo of the kit. FKP-5500 Price: $69.95 there are other suppliers as well |

Re: King Pin bolt
dsraven, that is what I need. I hate to have to buy another king pin set. It'll be short a bolt if I ever need it. Everybody keep an eye out, maybe I'll get lucky. Found 1 on ebay for a F-100 ford.

Re: King Pin bolt
There you go, I didn't get mine pulled out before he did. Which re
minds me, weather permitting I need to get the spindles off two axles tomorrow.
