Tusky Torquey 383ci LS build.
So I read a lot at work. I came across a old article in a magazine. I think this would tow a car well if this motor was installed in a pickup. Let me hear your opinions. I myself will be duplicating this build.
Starting with a 5.3 iron block stroke to a 383ci motor using a 4 inch crankshaft and the bore was 3.902. 212/218 558/562 on a 115 lsa cam Truck intake with accufab throttle body 36 lb injectors 317 6.0 truck heads untouched 918 valvesprings comp lifters and timing chain Long tube headers Compression was between 9.5 to 10.0 #results was 455 horsepower and 485 ft lbs of torque. Torque production exceeded 450ft lbs at 3200 to 5300 rpm. Now let's talk prices. I've added up mostly what this motor costs to builds. It's roughly a 4500 dollar motor setup. That's cheaper than the old traditional 383 ht GMPP offer. Posted via Mobile Device |
