Steering Column Swap
I've searched the steering column threads and have a question.
I have a '70 C-10 and I've found a tilt column from a '74 2WD Blazer. Other than the ignition and neutral safety, will this column fit? I figure I'll have to collapse the intermediate shaft. I saw one thread that talked about some columns being a larger diameter than the original. Looks like this one could be a little larger than original. Has anyone done a swap like this? Thanks in advance. MK |

Re: Steering Column Swap
The columns are different diameters, the 74 being larger. That makes your dash bezel grommet, and the notch in your gauge cluster not fit. I've only ever seen 1 person put the time and effort in to make a 73+ column fit appropriately.
