Rolling frame won't roll anymore

A bunch of years ago I stored a 1 ton rollong frame with a good bed on the back outdoors with the intention of "doing something with it in the future". Well I am losing storage and jacked it up to put some rims and tires on it that hold air. I noticed I can't turn either front or rear tires (Ho-72 Rear and Disc Front).

What should I try to get the truck rolling? The frame is a factory 9 foot C-30 stepside. I was thinking about cutting the front end off and making a truck bed trailer out of the thing but worried the rear end might be scrap now. Could it be the drum brakes are froze up? Would several cans of PB Blaster work?

Got a BFH?

The shoes and discs are seized to the rotors and drums.

Yep! PB blaster would help too if you wanted, but I've never had too much trouble giving the calipers or drums a hard smack.

That is what I would try first off, Spray, wd-40, pb, whatever ya got, then give it a hard yank with a tow strap!

Re: Rolling frame won't roll anymore

i had that problem, and had to hit the brake drum with a mallet a few times to brake the rust free, then it rolled just fine

Re: Rolling frame won't roll anymore

Thanks all, I was thinking about calling a scrap yard to come get it. I'll get to use it, even though I'm cutting up a 1 of 1600 made truck frame, it's better than the metal recycler

Re: Rolling frame won't roll anymore

Well, the old lady sold the farm and the truck has to go by the end of the month. Spent 3 hours on that sob this afternoon and got 3 of 4 rolling. Passenger rear still froze up. One more try at it tomorrow with PB Blaster and a BFH.

Re: Rolling frame won't roll anymore

I've used a sledge before with good results but it will most likely blow the drum to bits
