CPP OEM Big Brakes vs. Aftermarket

Mid way through a build right now and trying to decide between a set of CPP big brakes using OEM calipers (not sure where they come from) versus going with an aftermarket brake system.

If there's anyone on here who has used, or at least driven, both types, any input would be appreciated.

I'd like to get this figured out sooner rather than later so I can choose wheels/tires/rear axle to fit.

Will not be a track car, but do want it to stop fast. I admit I like the look of big Wilwood...etc calipers, but don't want to have to run 20's to fit.

The ccp brakes are probably something oem off something newer.Have you looked at https://www.azproperformance.com/67-...o-Performance/ his kit you can run 18s depending back spacing.Any rim smaller your looking willwood probably.

The CPP kits are the OE calipers rotor design that came on the GMT800 (99-06) 1/2 ton trucks.

Thanks for the responses, guys. What I want to know is whether I will feel a difference going one way versus the other. The repurposed OEM stuff would cost less, but I don't know if I'd be giving up a lot of performance/feel...etc that I might want later.

This would be a for a daily driven truck. Are Wilwoods (or their competitors) a good choice for commuting? For instance, I've heard that Wilwood caliper pistons lack seals and scrapers that OEM calipers use, but have never seen proof. If anyone has used both types, I'd be very curious to hear about the differences.

The kit i showed you is c5 corvette pbr calipers front and the rear are mustang pbr,Pbr is what most of baer brakes uses with out paying more for the name.I would stick to oem stuff and nothing monster big,This way you can get parts anywhere if needed in a pinch.And the monster brakes might not do so good on a daily driver most take more heat before they work good or you run a different pad and eat pads faster.
