Small back window 70 cab ???
Does this really exist? I was under the impression that only 67 had the small back window. The truck in question also has a PTO on the transfer case so I was thinking it may have originally been a tow truck ( the bed is long gone). If this is some rare option, is it worth anything to anyone? The cab is in great shape, only a bit of rust in the drivers side cab corner, and a tiny spot on the fire wall. Am not sure if if it was power brakes or not. Floors are solid, small patch panels already done.
If anyone has information let me know, if its worth I may sell it. -Ben |

I believe 67 was the only year with small window, however i think the c-40 to c-60 series came with small window through 72. Anyone confirm this?

Bigger trucks apparently had them even later.
There was at least one '68 with a small window. Which T-case does the truck have?

I had a '72 C60 dump with a small back window. Is the firewall recessed? If it is, then the cab probably came off a C40+. Where is the parking brake? Maybe it is a '67 cab...
I've considered using a c40+ cab in order to easily put a larger engine in because of the recessed firewall.

My borther-in-laws 1971 1.5 ton has a small back window. The truck used to be a wrecker, it is now used as a sprayer.

My guess is that it was a tow truck (wrecker). It has a Transfer case with a PTO comming off of it (like a tractor). Now I have to figure out if its woth anything to anyone. The truck was certainly not a C40 series, the frame was not bulky enough for that set up.

The cab may have been switched.
Which T-case is it?

I have both, a '69 tow truck (originally thought it was a 68 by accident) and a '70 C40, I would be interested to see pics of this cab and chassis you have.
