It's that time.....Christmas!
How many of you guys use your trucks for hauling Christmas trees?
I always like seeing the pictures of classics with trees piled on. So if you got one from this year post them up! I will start..... |

Re: It's that time.....Christmas!
We're going to go up to NC this weekend to get our first real tree for the house.
The dogs are old enough now they should leave it alone for the most part. Taking the C10. Going to be a dork and take lots of pics.

That picture would certainly make a great X-MAS card. I love the greens.

Re: It's that time.....Christmas!
crappy day, crappy pictures. This is the place up where my road hits the state road. Convenient and local, but we are tree farm central in my area. No shortage of "local" businesses to patronize. We have tree farms that offer the whole experience, hot cider, hay wagon to shuttle you through the farm, as well as other events. I can't believe 81% of Americans deprive themselves the experience of getting a fresh cut tree. They say, "You don't have to go get one every year". Heck, you don't "have to" have a Christmas tree at all. But if you want to enjoy the full Christmas experience, you are missing out by pulling the fake out. I don't get to see my grand daughter often enough, but going for a tree is a ritual I have enjoyed with her and hope to as long as she wants

It's going to be an adventure... the place Jena picked is an hour and a half drive through the mountains. Heading out early tomorrow afternoon.

Re: It's that time.....Christmas!
I'd post a picture but a fake tree still in the box in the trunk of my wife's Impala wouldn't be very exciting LOL

Love the truck, love the tree, love the property! Living in the desert, it's hard to get that "Christmas" feeling.
Regards, Mike

Re: It's that time.....Christmas!
Took a trip to NC to pick up our tree.
160 Mile round trip through the mountains. Apparently my GPS took me down a CRAZY STEEP WINDING mountain pass. My brakes were almost gone from heat by the bottom. It was literally a few mph crawl down the mountain because of the right and left hand curves. Absolutely beautiful drive though! We went the "flatter" way home. Looked "uneventful" with it bundled up laying in the bed.

Re: It's that time.....Christmas!
I believe it is part of a Hallmark Collection. I get a different truck every year. I will look for a year and info when I get home this evening. I've thought about painting it to match my truck. I just googled Hallmark truck ornament and it is from 2003, way before I got my truck.

and Thanks! Had the truck for 19 years and decided to do a makeover this year. I finished the nose remodel with the white and CST trim, but didn't quite get the roof finished. Rust repair around the rear window and drip rail took too long and I ran out of nice weather. The wife wasn't too happy with the plastic window flappin' around, but I'm not putting it back in until the top is done.

Re: It's that time.....Christmas!
I used my truck to haul our Christmas tree this year for the first time. Previously it went on top of the Suburban or X5. The '71 sure made it easier, and more fun! Sorry, did not think to take a photo.

Re: It's that time.....Christmas!
Lanman, I found and got the ornament off eBay. It's already on the tree. And I picked up a tree from my father-in-law with the truck. I couldn't help myself:
