1964 K10 Floorpan

Hi I am new to these forums.
I am restoring a 1964 Chevorlet K10 Shortbed. It has been converted it to a lowhump and had some rust on the hump. Any suggestion on replacement parts?

that hump looks original???

The hump is original. I switched out the cab. All 4wd have a high hump so the cab is out of a c-10.

thanks for the floorpan lesson, but being you asked about one thing and showed a picture of another i went with the picture. btw i have a k10 and a c10 so i know the difference...

not all had the high hump necessarily. the ones that used the 3 speed may have used the low hump.

Any Ideas on how to fix it? Should i replace the whole hump?

ive seen those low(ish) hump on the 63'. I have a 3 speed and it would come in handy as my TC shifter would clear and my NOS rubber mat would fit.

chop,cut rebuild. I would patch the pan while making it look original as if it never happened.

it depends on what trans that you are going to use. some require the h/hump for clearance. if you are to run an a/trans you could stay with the low hump. if that is the case it would be much simpler just to repair the damage that you have

The easiest way to repair that is to find someone with a parts can that can cut out a patch piece for you. You might check in the '60-'66 classifieds here on the forum.

Ron , my 66 4x4 Panel is a factory 3 speed. The transfer case shifter is mounted to the three speed with a tall bracket raised to meet the high hump,

Donor cab I cut up.

I added a high hump to my low hump replacement cab. I used an high tunnel and modified the floor to fit. I fabricated an extension for the front of the cover and now have a completely bolt-in hump, it sure makes working on the transmission easier. I can take pictures on another day if you would like. As another option, depending on how much clearance you need and what your goals for the truck are you may consider making and welding in a patch panel and installing a 1" or 2" body lift.
