1966 C10 Custom Cab Custom Comfort seat pictures wanted in a color other than tan.

Any chance anyone has pictures of a 1966 C10 Custom Cab Custom Comfort seat interior pictures with a custom comfort seat in a color not just tan. I have seen one picture, it has like a turquoise designed material and color and looked original. Here was the one picture I did find but wanted to see a better ones if possible. Let me know thanks

AFIK they didn't come in any other colors besides tan and red, at least in Chevys. GMCs had a turquoise seat like that, though.

I was under the understanding that the picture I posted was original interior? The one in the picture is a 1966 Chevrolet truck. Correct?

The rear seat in my 65 Suburban has the original cover on it in tge gray and white cor. Front was like it originally.

For 1966 it looks like the red seat was no longer available. Just the Fawn. Green was available in GMC for sure up to 1965 but I'm not sure on 1966 GMC. Yes the truck you are showing us is a 1966 by the dash and steering wheel. But I doubt very much that the green seat has its original seat cover. Looks like it was a green and white truck and my guess is the owner had it recovered as happens to most of these trucks. Heres information on seats from the 1966 Chevrolet Data Book.

As 60-66 said, looks like a 66 from the dash. I wonder if that's simply a standard seat you're seeing and the tinted glass is giving it a green-ish look. Probably not. Just a thought. I suspect it's recovered.

Ya... looked original to me because of the pattern of the seat... but you could be correct also it being recovered. I wish I could see in a 1966 C10 Salesman book to see the interior options for the seat interiors. I wonder if the GMC interior seat options they had would have been available for the Chevrolet as a special order, or did they have a special order for seat material anyway?

I just saw all the nice pictures posted. Wow! I should have looked at those before. I did not see anything about colors other than the fawn and tan colors. I would have thought they offered other colors for the interiors. Ill be they did. Any other color pages by chance to show if they did?

The pics posted ARE from the salesman's truck data book. Besides red seats in certain exterior color trucks, no other seat colors were offered in Chevy trucks. Seems highly unlikely that other colors could be special-ordered.

Well I found it. They did offer that Turquoise in the same material 1966 C10 and the tan one in the same pattern . I checked with SMS and they actually have it! Here are the pictures to prove it! So that picture I have is a factory seat. I was very pleasantly surprised! See pictures!

They may not have had it in the data book, but they must have had it as a option

I found the factory seat colored seat material with the same pattern in the turquoise as the tan one and they did have it! See my new post. SMS has the material and it is for the 1966 C10. They just may not have had that option in the data book! I was very pleasantly surprised!

Hmmm. That pattern and color looks a lot like the bench seats in a 1965 Chevelle I had once upon a time. Same color even. I've never seen that in an original truck ... yet.
I'll try to keep an open mind, but me thinks somebody used Chevelle fabric for a truck seat re-do.

I agree. Not to be a negative Nellie but just because SMS carries it.... or a fabric manufacturer produced it back in the day... doesn't mean it was ever available from the factory in Chevy trucks. Recovering a seat with non-stock fabric sometime over the last 50 years seems much more plausible unless you can point to more turquoise seats in unrestored trucks. I can't.

I know that the samples he has I believe are original GM and usually it was have the year and make next to it, he said I believe he had seen it before and knew what it was. That picture I posted is the same pattern as the other one I have seen in the tan or fawn.

Both of these fabrics are for the 1966 C10.

The odd thing is, when Chevrolet made the red seats it had nothing to do with the fabric, it had to do with the vinyl . I to will keep an open mind but, until I see a spid sheet for 66 Im more incline to say this does not exist. These Data books were updated 3-4 times in a given production year and I have 3 different 66 data books. The GM executive theory or COPO option is about all I can think of to get a one of a kind option. This is definitely not a Regular Production option. Need to see more of this truck other than one picture through a window.
