Insurance Costs?

I'm hooked on the look of the C50 &60's now but how much would my ins increase on average? I'm sure most of us are probably in our 40's and up with clean driving records as I know that has an effect on price.

Re: Insurance Costs?

The underwriters refused to renew my policy through State Farm because it's not a commercial policy and they claim it's a commercial vehicle even if it's not being used as one.

I'm going to look into a farm policy which would cover it and my operations on the land next year.

Look into Special Use/Special Interest/Limited use registrations. Could be that they won't cover it due to GVWR, unless you can get it classified as something else. Some of the Special use plates (or equivalent) ignore GVWR.

Re: Insurance Costs?

They'll cover it under a commercial policy. My agent seemed to think because it was less than 50% business use that I could insure it like a pickup, and the underwriters didn't like that.

Re: Insurance Costs?

I use Hargerty to insure my SSR but they won't my '56 6400 because I actually use it, even though it just for personal use.
