65 Panhard bar placement

Right side of differential has large casting where end of bar bolts. Other end goes slightly down to drivers side frame. Ive lowered about 6in and need to remount on frame. Set it at height and mount bracket o frame where it wants to go?Seems ljocation has moved out and back about an inch.

Yep, lower you go, more the bar will shift. Put the bracket in the factory location and buy an adjustable one.

Re: 65 Panhard bar placement

and then i adjust till frame si equal distance to first groove in tire? I centered it thenheated and bent.(i know) my own springs. Had to keep turnming them until they lined up straight up and down. tool off all clamps and it sits epual distance from brake drum.If you find your seld beating spring into place with 12lb beater, well when you relax that spring wil through frame where it eants to.

Re: 65 Panhard bar placement

Yea not sure what all that means. But for a setup that low I would put a long panhard bar on it. Solves a lot of issues.

Re: 65 Panhard bar placement

I have early classics super track bar on mine. Works well and I like the urethane bushings over the rod ends for a daily driver.

Does the PB bolt right up to the 60-62 frame?

Re: 65 Panhard bar placement

I welded mine in, and the bar goes to Porterbuilt arms. But brackets for stock arms are available.
