December drive

Well still no snow here and it was about 50 degrees and sunny so the truck went for a ride

Still have a hard time getting gas to the engine when she has sat for more than a day or two. Multiple pumps and a few aborted starts and a few more pumps then she runs.

We got the dreaded Quadrajet no fuel in the bowl issue. Starts right up when warm and not too bad after sitting overnight.

Anyone got a fix other than epoxy on the plugs?

Re: December drive

Look down the carb and turn the throttle. Do you see gas shooting out?
Yes, all is well and you need to work technique.
No, gas is leaking from the carb bowls.

Re: December drive

Ran into town to grab a can of gas with the '67 today too. Not often the roads aren't salted yet by December 5th here in northeast Pennsylvania.

Always a plus when you extend the driving season!

Here is a Cadillac shot also never painted all original like truck. Well truck seat cover replaced and was not bad but I wanted to fix foam cushion and not have a few splits in vinyl.

Re: December drive

Great looking truck. Looks like the gmc twin to my chevy and great to be driving on unsalted roads this late in the northeast.

Re: December drive

Those are two really nice vehicles George! You must have a really large garage to store that Cadillac.
