Bed Cross Sill Repair
I have a rust spot in the Bed Cross Sill on my 1964 Chevy. Does anyone know what gauge of steel this is made out of so I can make a patch panel?
Thanks, Mitchell |

Re: Bed Cross Sill Repair
Just weld it up, I just patched a dozen holes on mine tonight.

Or just head down to your building supply store and drop these over top.
If my picture didn't attach I'll try again. |

Re: Bed Cross Sill Repair
I don't know for sure. Maybe 16 or 18? I think one thinner than the original. Sure worked good for me. Comes in 12' less 1/4" so cut in half it is long enough for two. It's also galvanized. When it is bolted down it squeezes together nicely. I don't know what the original intent was for the metal, maybe something to do with stucco?
