Rare and desireable parts to look for

I think there was a post a while back on what parts are rare and desireable and I should keep an eye out for at the yards. I'm planning on finding a few yards around here in the next couple of weeks before I go back to college, and then go to a few more out at college when I get there to look for a 73-80 camper special sway bar (or regular truck sway bar if I can't find a C.S.), and wanted to know what else to look for.

Thanks!

P.S. I know about the tow hooks, but what others?

Here are a few items: Original door edge guards, bucket seats, 3 point seat belts, tach dash, A/C (for some people), original push button radio, original 8-track player, bedside with complete tool box, original tilt column, original drip rail trim, etc...
And the list keeps going...

spotlight

My '70 c20 I had in highschool had a factory chrome spotlight on the windshield pillar. Worked great until it fell off when I was driving down the road!

Here's my list:

am/fm
speed warning
tach
tilt
dual horns (not really that rare)
dual battery tray
manual throttle (again, not gold but nice to have)
"GM" choke hole block off plate
bumper guards
did someone mention tow hooks??

Are those spotlights really that desireable? I remember a while back everyone dogging on them for lookin dorky. I think They look cool, but I wouldn't hack a hole in my truck for one, unless it was already there.

I would grab any year/make grille if it was in good shape.
GMC tailgates in good condition
stepside fenders (without the spare cutout)
Rare emblems, like CST/20, Longhorn, etc.
any rust free bedside toolbox pieces (door, hinge, etc)
crack free steering wheels
any body trim in good condition

swb70,

There are not many left in east Texas because boardmember
STP 67-72 has been buying them up for years.
You might keep an eye out for him on the board or send him an e-mail. He is near Beumont and has a lot of stuff we could all use.
Very nice guy and easy to deal with heck he even delivers sometimes.

Rare parts:
Gold Visors and clips
Gold Seatbelts
Hey any trim particular to a 50th
posi rears

Have fun

Hatch HDW

Blazer and Suburban tailgate and lift hatch hardware. The relay rods, locking latches, handles // real hard to get when you need 'em.
